You can make a tangible impact on the lives of your favorite music creators as our self-driven, detail-oriented, customer-obsessed Email Marketing Manager. You will drive a best-in-class email experience for our artist prospect and client audiences. This role is responsible for end-to-end email marketing strategy to drive the awareness of Songtrust creator services, acquisition of independent artists in various stages of their career journey and to engage with existing clients to further grow their careers. As our Email Marketing Manager, you will formulate email communication strategies and design, implement, and launch email campaigns. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple programs at once, while collaborating effectively with our marketing, creative, client services, and sales teams. You will be able to understand the pain points and challenges of our key audiences and deliver compelling strategic content, messaging and CTAs to drive measurable results in both user acquisition and retention.
This position will report to the Senior Manager, Engagement Marketing at Songtrust. This role will require some in-office work in our New York City office but is open to remote candidates located within a commutable distance to New York.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and lead the email onboarding and lifecycle marketing strategy for Songtrust through curated email campaigns
- Lead email channel end to end, from design, segmentation, execution and testing email campaigns
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create best-in-class email programs as part of overall content-driven nurturing strategy while aligning on prioritization and implementation
- Work “Close to the Customer” in understanding key needs, pain points of our creator customers and collaborate on most effective strategies and messages to convert/retain them
- Develop high-impact A/B and multivariate testing to improve email performance and associated touch points with a strong attention to detail
- Create custom Hubspot reports, dashboards, and workflows for email marketing campaigns
- Compile and report metrics on a regular cadence to mark progress against program, team-wide and organization-wide goals
- Organize, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines through process improvements and communication practices
- Management of segmented lists and subscriptions for email campaigns in Hubspot
- Exhibit strong analytical and quantitative skills in order to develop and measure marketing programs
- Adhere to best email practices for sending and deliverability
- Navigate and create structure around ambiguity; “can-do” attitude
You are / have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing, Business, or Communication) or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of e-commerce digital marketing experience
- 2+ years of Hubspot experience (or similar system i.e. Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, etc.) with experience building and optimizing drip and nurture email programs
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs, specifically onboarding/lifecycle nurture programs
- Firm understanding of email and landing page success KPIs
- Experience with custom reports and the ability to communicate and visualize performance with data
- Must have a firm understanding of audience segmentation and buyer journeys
- Firm knowledge of GDPR standards and compliance
- Experience in SMS communication + engagement marketing a plus
- Previous experience in music industry marketing to creators and emerging artists is a big plus
