Synchtank has had an enormous year and we wanted to share our success, product updates and interesting news with you in this week’s Synchblog.
Backstage with the Team
The people at Synchtank are what make us, us! This year we have grown our team by 50% across new territories such as Mexico, Midwestern and South East USA, while also continuing to bolster our team in the UK, bringing our global reach and coverage to our customers.
You may not know that our team’s background is diverse from experience across multiple industries, but most importantly, all of our team have one thing in common – our shared passion for all things music, media and technology, which drives everything we do.
“It’s been fantastic to be able to witness our team’s growth over the last 12 months, across technology, customer experience and project management. We’ve been fortunate to have some very experienced team members join us in 2025, which has undoubtedly been one of the most compelling years in Synchtank’s history.”
Ayushman Sen, CFO at Synchtank.

New To The Synchtank Roster
We’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming multiple new customers to a Synchtank system this year. This group represents a truly global mix, ranging from private and national broadcasters, global production music libraries, and several forward-thinking record labels.
Each new partner brings unique needs, and we’re proud to see how they’re already putting our platform to work. One customer is harnessing our Delivery Module to seamlessly distribute data to third parties such as PROs, broadcasters, and other industry partners, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and faster downstream workflows. Another is taking full advantage of our sync licensing tool, SyncUp, to streamline their pitching, rights clearance, and deal tracking processes from end to end.
“Looking back at 2025, I’m incredibly proud of what the Synchtank team and our customers have accomplished together. This year wasn’t just about growth or new features, it was about building deeper trust, solving real operational challenges, and proving that connected, high-quality music data can genuinely transform how our industry works. What excites me most is that we’re not just building software, we’re shaping a more connected, transparent, and sustainable future for how music data moves through the industry. The progress we’ve made in 2025 sets a powerful foundation for what’s next.”
Amy Hegarty, CEO at Synchtank.
Altogether, these new additions highlight the versatility of the Synchtank Core Platform and its ability to transform catalog management and operational workflows for teams across the music and media landscape. We’re excited to support their continued growth and innovation.
Updated, Remastered, Ready To Play
This year, Synchtank quietly levelled up.
We’ve been hard at work this year enhancing our Synchtank system, rolling out a series of upgrades designed to streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and make your experience smoother than ever. Many of these updates have already started transforming how teams manage and monetize their catalogs, and several are simply too good not to share.
From smarter tools to improved visibility and brand-new capabilities, here’s a closer look at some powerful features you may not know we offer and how they can help you get even more out of Synchtank.
Better data, better discovery.
We made major enhancements to how sound recordings and compositions are managed, with richer metadata, improved identifiers, and tools that help teams keep catalogs clean, searchable, and ready for external partners. Highlights include smarter audio handling, improved metadata fields for discovery, and loudness analysis built to industry standards, supporting both broadcast compliance and quality control before delivery. More on the Synchtank Core Platform here.
Stronger support for specialist catalogs.
For teams working with classical and complex repertoire, we introduced new composition fields and workflows that make CWR delivery and cataloging far more precise. We also tackled a common pain point by adding tools to merge duplicate records, helping customers maintain a single source of truth.
Simpler releases, fewer headaches.
Releases can get complicated fast, so we focused on clarity and flexibility. From cleaner track listings and expanded artwork support to better planning tools like estimated release dates, Synchtank now does more of the heavy lifting, while staying aligned with DDEX standards for seamless DSP delivery. Not sure what DDEX is, check out our blog here.
Sync that keeps up with real life.
SyncUp (our sync licensing platform) continued to evolve with direct customer feedback. Opportunities can now flow even more smoothly from pitch to invoice, with playlists dropping straight into deals and automatically pulling in the right masters and compositions, cutting admin and keeping momentum high. Delivery without the friction.
Delivery remains one of Synchtank’s unsung heroes. This year we introduced metadata-only deliveries, speeding up sends and reducing overhead for partners who don’t need full asset packages. Under the hood, we also added powerful configuration tools that give teams more control over how their data is mapped, transformed, and delivered. Learn more about Delivery here.
Where curated playlists drive discovery.
We made it easier to explore catalogs by putting curated playlists front and center, supported by smarter filters and improved browsing, helping the right music reach the right listeners faster.
“2025 has been a transformative year for Synchtank. We’ve welcomed new customers from various areas of the music industry who have brought fresh perspectives on complex metadata challenges, from broadcast automation to new ways of handling rights management. Our modules have evolved significantly in response, expanding functionality that positions us as a central hub for music metadata transactions – connecting publishers, labels, libraries and broadcasters in ways that will shape how the industry operates.”
Paul s’Jacob, Product Manager at Synchtank.
Coming Soon To Our Product Release Radar
The releases never stop as we’re continuously building and enhancing our platform to better support music teams, and we’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead.
- Royalties: Migrating our royalties and registrations offering into our Core Platform, which allows users to administer copyrights; songs, works, compositions. Send those details to Performing Rights Organizations (PROs) and other parties using CWR registration and then process the royalties income coming from those.
- Delivery Module: Expanding from metadata-only delivery to full flexibility across all deliveries, including metadata, audio, WAV files, artwork, and stems.
- Artist Portal: New features and improvements designed to unlock even more value for artists, managers and music teams.
