Audio Network’s move to Synchtank’s Music Operations Platform is getting new music to customers sooner, strengthening catalogue data and simplifying delivery to more than 50 endpoints worldwide.

Synchtank, the Music Operations Platform for organisations managing music at scale, and Audio Network, the global music company creating and licensing original music for film, television, advertising and digital media, have reduced the average time needed to prepare an album for release by more than 85%. The result follows Audio Network going live on Synchtank’s platform in October 2026.

Working together, the two companies have brought catalogue data, metadata enrichment and delivery into one connected operation. For Audio Network’s customers that means new music reaches them sooner, supported by richer and more consistent metadata that makes the right track easier to find and accurate rights information that makes licensing straightforward.

The challenge is one shared by music companies operating at scale. Audio Network’s catalogue of 300,000+ tracks, created by 1,000+ composers and artists continues to grow alongside an expanding range of international repertoire. A catalogue built over many years, a wide variety of incoming data formats and the differing requirements of each delivery destination all add complexity to how that music is prepared and supplied.

Synchtank’s platform is designed to handle exactly that complexity. Its configurable approach has allowed Audio Network to bring greater consistency and control to its catalogue while freeing its teams from repetitive manual work.

“Our focus is on being the partner storytellers trust for music, wherever in the world they are working. As we grow our catalogue and bring in more international repertoire, the infrastructure behind the business needs to be every bit as strong as the music and the service our customers experience.

Working with Synchtank means new releases reach our customers faster, with the quality of data they rely on and gives us a foundation that can scale with our ambitions.”

Synchtank’s metadata enrichment and data transformation tools help Audio Network create more consistent descriptive information across its catalogue and adapt that information to the specific requirements of different partners and delivery destinations. Greater flexibility around composition shares is also helping Audio Network support a broader range of international repertoire without introducing separate processes or systems.

“As our catalogue and distribution networks grow, the complexity behind the scenes grows with them. We wanted infrastructure that could help us to scale both sides of this network ecosystem, improve the quality and consistency of our data and give us more flexibility in how we deliver music to partners.

The value is not simply automation. It is a more connected and scalable operation, with better data flowing through it, that gives our teams more control and reduces the amount of manual intervention required.”

Audio Network delivers music and associated data to more than 50 endpoints worldwide, each with its own requirements for how content, metadata and rights information are structured and supplied. Synchtank supports each destination’s requirements, including industry standards such as DDEX.

Where Audio Network’s customers also use Synchtank, direct connections between the platforms further simplify the movement of music and data, reducing manual steps on both sides.

“What I love about this partnership is that the results are incredibly tangible. Reducing the time involved in preparing new music for release by more than 85% gives people time back to focus on the work that actually needs their expertise.

But this is also about building an operation that can support the complexity and scale of a global catalogue as Audio Network continues to grow. That’s what Synchtank does by removing complexity, making operations more efficient, and giving the people running the business the tools and control they need to scale.”

The implementation has been highly collaborative, with the Audio Network and Synchtank teams working together to understand the intricacies involved in managing and delivering music and metadata across a wide range of industry partners.

Audio Network’s experience and requirements have also contributed to the continued development of Synchtank’s Data Delivery capabilities, with improvements made through the project now benefiting Synchtank’s wider customer base.

For Audio Network, the result is a faster, more connected global music operation – one that can support continued catalogue growth, expand international repertoire and deliver music and rights data reliably to customers and partners around the world.
