Songtrust is looking for a Copyright Coordinator to join our Copyright & Administration team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Copyright you will be a key member of our team auditing registrations, matching unclaimed works, and researching registration statuses.
What you’ll be doing:
- Registration Auditing
- Research registration statuses for specific works and catalogs at various international pay sources
- Communicate with pay source and publisher representatives to resolve various issues such as conflicts, duplicates, etc.
- Work with Client Relations team to track research results
- Manually register priority works at mechanical societies
- Unclaimed Works Matching
- Process unclaimed works reports from domestic and international affiliates
- Identify and validate potential claims within the Songtrust and Downtown catalogs
- Work with Income Tracking team to submit claims and track missing/unclaimed royalties
- Working with Product and Development teams to create and test new features, resolve errors, fix bugs, and make processes more efficient
After 3 months you’ll have:
- In-depth understanding of the global music publishing landscape
- Experience working with proprietary tools as well as industry standards
- Autonomy in your workflow to most effectively complete your responsibilities, with support from an experienced and helpful team
You are / have:
- A critical thinking problem-solver with a passion for publishing administration and data
- Experience at a music publishing company (copyright/admin department preferred)
- Comfortable working with large sets of data
