Leading independent record label and publishing company Cooking Vinyl are seeking a self-motivated Senior Sync Manager to play a key role in our continued global growth leading the team in pitching, negotiating and licensing commercial and bespoke repertoire worldwide across all media for Cooking Vinyl Recordings, Cooking Vinyl Publishing and an eclectic range of third party artists.
The successful candidate will be highly organised with excellent relationships, strong negotiation and strategy development skills, a passion for music and a positive can-do attitude.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all sync and compilation clearances from pitching through to paperwork.
- Managing the department and working collaboratively with internal and external partners including A&R, artists and writers directly, shared rights holders and sub publishers to implement sync strategies, partnerships and business development.
- Proactively seeking out new, and fostering existing client relationships through research, timely targeted pitches to briefs and on spec, marketing mailouts, networking and showcase opportunities.
- Maintaining databases & compiling reports.
- Representing the company at shows and industry events.
Key skills & experience:
- 3 years + creative and clearance experience at a label, publishers or music licensing company with extensive contacts, strong negotiation skills and an up to date understanding of the copyright and licensing landscape.
- Proactive, driven and enthusiastic self-starter with creative mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
