What you’ll do:
- Manage overall technical infrastructure environment deployed via Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Study and understand all current and upcoming system requirements, including both fine-level details and overarching strategic goals, and communicate this information effectively to staff members and executives
- Support development and implementation of new technologies within a medium sized cloud environment by advising on design concepts and changes, implementation strategies and deployment timelines
- Coordinate with engineers and software developers to design effective solutions that meet requirements for functionality and integration with existing components
- Manage development, testing and deployment of software and other systems technologies to ensure compliance with operational requirements for security, performance, reliability and scalability
- Research existing and emerging cloud based technologies to determine capabilities and cost-benefits relationship, and develop ongoing solutions that meet performance and budgetary requirements
- Create thorough documentation records of design specifications and instructional manuals as necessary to enable all computer systems personnel and end users to interact correctly and effectively with cloud based systems
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the Technical Operations team members
- Communicate clearly and effectively with members of the Songtrust technical, product, and business units
- Create and maintain documentation of practices and procedures
You are / have:
- At least seven years of systems engineering experience
- Extensive experience with AWS automation utilizing tools such as CDK and Cloudformation
- Experience with both Linux and Microsoft server environments
- Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Thorough knowledge of Windows Server and Ubuntu Linux.
- Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure as service, including EC2, RDS, ALB, VPC, IAM, and Transit Gateway.
- Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring applications such as NewRelic, Data Dog, and Splunk.
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes such as Change Management, Incident Management, Lifecycle Management, and Capacity Management.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work on and prioritize a wide variety of complicated tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Works independently and as a team member in a high performance environment.
- Effectively collaborates with peers, cross-functional teams and team leaders to achieve end-to-end product and process quality.
- Exercises discretion and judgment to ensure all operational service levels and security standards are met.
- Strong Analytical and problem–solving skills.
- Experience in Enterprise level environments
