This position can be based in either Los Angeles, CA, New York City, or Tampa, FL and must be open to a hybrid work schedule.
The Role:
- Design and Development of Enterprise grade Data Analytics and Web Applications.
- Day-to-day work will include 80% Development and 20% Design, Reviews, mentoring and other related activities
- Provide technical leadership to project activities to ensure solutions are being implemented per approved design and test strategy
- Responsible for mentoring and grooming other team members on the application of new development methodologies
- Maintain and enforce common conventions, standards, and technologies across the enterprise
- Establish strong relationships with key leaders from other teams and demonstrate credibility, empathy and expertise on business and technical issues
- Provide clear requirements and development plans to the onsite and offshore teams
- Translate business goals into appropriate strategies and technical requirements
Who you are:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience including Designing and Developing robust cloud based systems
- Expertise in developing API enabled Web applications using Java, Spring Boot, HTML5, Javascript and SQL
- In depth understanding of CI/CD Platform development on the Cloud (AWS) Solid knowledge of Kubernetes/Container platforms based development
- Experience in building Microservices based Web Applications with Spring Boot
- Ability to track, recommend, and implement resolutions to issues
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, train, inspire, and motivate team to accomplish objectives
- Ability to build good relationships with peers, business partners, and clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- We would be over the moon if you have experience or skills specifically in:
- Distributed Computing with Spark on Scala/Java/Python on Big Data platforms
- Understanding/Implementation experience of Caching Frameworks – Redis, Hazelcast, Ignite, etc.
- A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, Serverless computing, Data Lake and API Frameworks
- Experience in Javascript frameworks (Angular, GXT/GWT, ExtJS or other HTML5/Javascript frameworks)
- Mobile Development experience
