Downtown Music Services is seeking a Sync Associate, U.K to join our team in the London office. This position will report directly to our Creative Director, UK. The Sync team works across all publishing catalogues within Downtown Music Services, including Position Music, Big Yellow Dog, Tigerspring and our extensive roster of artists and songwriters including John Lennon, AIR, Peter Doherty, Tiana Major9, Deee-Lite and Wu-Tang Clan.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Creative Director, U.K with the creation of sync projects and pull preliminary song selections as related to briefs across all media verticals.
- Build and maintain themed, catalogue playlists for the UK and European markets.
- Participate in the collection and ingestion of audio assets into Downtown’s systems.
- Support in the creation and distribution of marketing materials for the UK sync team.
- Assist with executing showcases, dinners, parties, and other events related to the promotion of the Downtown catalogue for sync.
- Foster relationships specifically within the Film and TV communities.
- Attend concerts and events linked to the efforts of the sync team as needed.
- Regularly service TV broadcasters with new and relevant music.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of copyrights across the Downtown Music Services catalogue.
You are / have:
- Proficient understanding of music publishing and sync licensing.
- 2+ years of relevant, full-time music industry experience at a publisher/label or music supervision company, and passion for music with broad taste and knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure in a fast-paced setting, managing and balancing daily tasks with longer-term goals.
- Excellent verbal, written, organisational, administrative and communication skills.
- Reliable, diligent, proactive and a good people person.
- Proven results in placing music across all media forms.
- An established and growing contact base.
- Strong networking skills to maintain and establish new contacts and business opportunities for your company’s writers and repertoire
